Adults and children 12 years of age and older: take 2 caplets with water every 6 hours as needed; do not take more than 8 caplets in 24 hours or as directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years: ask a doctor.

Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Do not use: if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma, trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers. When using this product: do not use more than directed; excitability may occur, especially in children; drowsiness may occur; avoid alcoholic drinks; alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase the drowsiness; use caution when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery; with other acetaminophen products. Stop use and ask a doctor if: you get nervous, dizzy, or sleepless; redness or swelling is present; new symptoms occur; symptoms do not improve; you need to use more than 7 days; fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Prompt medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
